Magnetic rim on the London Underground

My friend Francisco Rocha, who had already sent me photos of the hearing loop available in London supermarkets, this time sent me some great photos of the magnetic rim on the London Underground. At each station there is a“Help Point“, which is a help center. It has a fire alarm, a button to call for help and information and...HEARING LOOP – MAGNETIC RING! How can you not love this accessibility? 🙂

In May I’m going on a month-long trip to Europe and I intend to make a detailed record of all the places I find
hearing loop
available – that way it’s easier to show the authorities in Brazil that accessibility is quick and simple, and doesn’t require all the hype and years of ‘discussion’ that go on here.

Whoever is abroad and has a record of places with
hearing loop
take a picture and send it to me so I can publish it on Crônicas! 😉

One of the most annoying things for someone who doesn’t listen is to become dependent on others. I don’t sleep – and no one I know sleeps – with braces, because they hurt when you put your head on the pillow. For this small reason, I depend on my mother to wake me up in…

  • Bullying and deafness: let’s talk about it?

Bullying is an English term used to describe acts of physical or psychological violence, intentional and repeated, practiced by an individual(bully ) or group of individuals with the aim of intimidating or attacking another individual (or group of individuals) incapable of defending themselves. There are also victims/aggressors, or perpetrators/targets, who at certain times commit aggression,…

  • I also like silence

It’s been very revealing to rewrite old posts from ten years ago. I can compare my experiences then, when I wore hearing aids, with now, when I live with two bionic ears. The comparisons that this allows me to make are very interesting. As it was in 2010… I love wearing my hearing aids ….

  • About my deaf voice

I confess that I never stopped to pay attention to my deaf voice. As far as I’m concerned, she’s normal. I’ve never had speech therapy. A few days ago, I published two videos on my other blog, the Sweetest Person and I was a bit shocked by some of the hatefulcomments I received – and…
